Hello, I know that I haven't posted anything in probably about two months, *cough* *cough* But, I just don't get on the computer very often. :^) So the other day I was just sitting in my living room watching James just run around playing and just being really cute, and then I was thinking, "Hmm, I would like to write a story about James." So I did and now here it is!
- A Day With James -
Chapter 1- Once upon a time there was a little dog named King James. He was quite playful but yet sometimes he was calm and quiet. Every morning when he woke up he would walk across his living room and peak aside the large, green chair. Knowing what awaited him, he scurried into the kitchen. His feet sliding on the laminated wood flooring and stopping at the wide rug with red peppers on it. He could see through the clear squares on the front door the wind blowing the wooden chimes on the porch so he knew it would be windy out. The orange cat sat on the top stair also waiting for the front door to open, thinking that just maybe today might be the day he could slip through the door and get into the warm, still house. But James always knew and told the orange cat, "It will never happen, the humans are to smart and fast for you." The cat looked at James blankly, swished his tail, blinked slowly, and still, even though James couldn't understand why, the cat sat on the stair. Finally the door creaked its way open, James leaped down the stairs and shouted back to the door, "Thank you!"
Chapter 2- James walked around outside, he was looking for someone. James' good friend Jenkins was the one! Jenkins was fierce, brave, and a bit dumb at times but he was James' best friend. James spotted Jenkins in the cornfield across the driveway, he looked like he was chewing on something, "That something might be something tasty." thought James. He darted across the driveway and into the harvested cornfield. By the time James was getting close to Jenkins, Jenkins had realized James' plan to steal his corn stock that he had been chewing on. So he decided to run in zig zags around the field so that maybe James will get tired and give up, but James just kept running after him, not knowing that the only thing Jenkins had in his mouth was a piece of corn stock. As the two dogs were running through the field another dog came over to see what all the rumpus was about. James wasn't very keen on this dog named Buddy. He was very large, grumpy, and didn't like James very much either for some strange reason. Jenkins turned around to see that James was just a bit behind his tail, as he turned back to see where to run next he smashed right into the large dog, Buddy, dropping the piece of corn stock. James had seen what was about to happen to him so he quickly tried to slow down but he was to late and he too crashed into Buddy. Buddy gathered himself together and sighed, which seemed like forever to James, and snatched up the now damp piece of corn stock that Jenkins had tried so hard to keep from James. James shook out his fur. "Just forget that big oaf Jenkins." James whispered then grabbed up another piece of corn stock and shot off laughing hysterically. Jenkins ran after him already forgotten about Buddy.
Chapter 3- After a good while of more playing James got tired and decided to go back inside. So he ran back up to the front door, said hello to the orange cat, and jumped up the stairs to knock on the door. He knocked and knocked until finally the door swung open and James ran into the house. Of course, the orange cat tried to quickly squeeze into the house but the door was faster and it slammed flat into the cats face. "Hm, I guess the door doesn't like him, to bad. Thanks again door!" James was tired and now hungry. So he went over to his food bowl, ate up some food, lapped up some water and walked into the dim lighted living room. He hopped on a couch and watched the humans walk around, talk, and eat. James liked human food so he jumped off the couch, walked slowly over to a human, and thought to himself, "Maybe if I stare at it with my 'Give me your food' face they will give me some this time". James stared at the human until the human some how found his scheme out and told him to beat it.
Chapter 4- James then walked over to his squeaky, one eared/one eyed sock monkey who was resting on a rug with a large moose on it. James liked that rug. "Do you want to fight monkey?" James asked the ridiculous looking sock monkey. It glared back at him, "I'll take that as a yes!" he hollered and attacked the monkey. He bit into its strange fur, it shrieked so loud, he loved the noise so he bit it again and again. "Hold on tight!" James said to the helpless monkey and ran around the room wildly with the monkey swinging around in his mouth. He then stopped to pull at his other ear. Eventually he got tired and set the monkey back on the moose rug. "That was pretty fun, I'll see you tomorrow." He wished the monkey goodnight and gave it one last squeak and ran into his room where the one human that he particularly liked called him. James yawned and crept to the side of the very large bed. He was to short to jump up on it but he insisted that he could make it, so he kept trying until finally the human gently picked him up and lay him on her bed, pulled the covers over her and clicked the light by the bed off. James looked around and stretched for a couple seconds, then walked over to the human, dug under the covers, curled up in a ball, rested his head upon the humans arm, and then finally, went to sleep.
The End
